Kundalini literally means ‘coiled’. Kundalini yoga focuses more on psycho-spiritual development in addition to your body’s ability to mature. It focuses on seven psychic centers (chakras). Each chakra is said to have special characteristics. This is tough and slightly complicated practice. It includes various physical poses, significant movements and charms, breathing exercise and meditation. Though it is done physically, the main benefit of this yoga is gained through inner experience. Kundalini yoga is also known as yoga of awareness. Usually it is practiced secretly. Kundalini is considered as risky practice because if it is misused i.e. not done in an exact way, the power can rebound badly. The techniques of Kundalini yoga was passed to disciple by their Guru only after a tedious and long commencement processes. This determines the learner’s commitment towards yoga practice. The contender becomes immersed in deep meditation and infinite happiness.
